Christianity struggles with pagan echo.

Giulio Cesare Vanini – an Italian philosopher, adherent of Copernic’s doctrine. He was wandering in Europe for many years with lectures which popularized the heliocentric theory, and defended Giordano Bruno ideas.
In his work “About amazing secrets of nature- the queen and the goddess of death”, he argued that the world in unite and eternal and everything in the universe is in constant motion, obeying its own laws.

He said: “The concept of God was understood too widely by the ancient philosophers: some say that it is the water, the other – the air, the third – the sun, moon and stars, and the fourth – the sky and the sun and so on… Nature is God because it’s the beginning of any movement…God, or better to say Nature created
the heaven and the earth.”
Church claimed his speech to be anti-religious and sentenced him to the Inquisition. The philosopher’s tongue was cut and he was burnt alive following the verdict.
